Council Website
Welcome to the Chinook Council Website! Minimize

The Chinook Council serves approximately 10,000 youth and adult members through more than 225 Scouting groups in southern Alberta. Our region spans from the southern Alberta border, north to Bowden. Included in our 12 service areas are the cities of Calgary, Lethbridge, and Medicine Hat. Nearly 40% of our members live in smaller urban and rural centres.

The rich geographical and cultural diversity of our region allows us to offer a wide variety of programs and experiences to our members, all of which reinforce, and build upon, Scouts Canada's Mission, Principles, and Vision.

The Chinook Council meets annually to receive the annual report, annual financial statements, and to recommend the appointment of the Council Commissioner. The Council's 2010 Annual General Meeting is scheduled for November 24, 2010.
