The Prince Edward Island Council has been providing fun, safe adventures for the young people of our beautiful province since 1907. Canada’s smallest province offers four seasons of adventure and has proudly hosted Canadian Jamboree in 1977, 1989 and 2001.
The PEI Council for Scouts Canada is a non-profit organization, serving youth across the island. Celebrating over 100 years on PEI, Scouts has effected the lives of many island families, helping develop resilient and well rounded youth while making positive changes in the Communities they reside. This volunteer run organization offers a variety of skill programs in the areas of Leadership, Citizenship, Beliefs & Values, Creative Expression, Environment & Outdoors, Active & Healthy Living, along with Outdoor Adventure Skills and ceremonies.
Land Acknowledgement for Prince Edward Island
We would like to acknowledge that the land on which we gather is the traditional and unceded territory of the Abeqweit Mi’kmaq First Nation who have lived in Mi'kma'ki, traditional Mi'kmaq territory, for over 12,000 years. Mi'kmaq know the island as "Epekwitk', meaning "lying in the water".
