Camp Samac has been creating memories in Oshawa for decades

Located in north Oshawa, Camp Samac is filled with memories of scouting and guiding, and it continues to be a place for exploration and adventure.

“I loved Camp Samac, but generally the fire and cabin.”

“I camped there with Girl Guides and made lifelong friends!”

“At Camp Samac, I did archery and it was really fun firing the bow.”

“As a Crusader Ranger in 1979-1985, we hosted a large camp weekend for 300-500 Rovers and Rangers from all over Ontario.”

“It was really cool and fun. I recommend it!”

These are just a few of the memories of Camp Samac that have been shared by visitors in the Oshawa Museum’s feature exhibit, “Be Prepared.” Located in north Oshawa, Camp Samac is filled with memories of scouting and guiding, and it continues to be a place for exploration and adventure.
