Start with Yes

Over the last year, we have realized how positive, big and lasting the impact of a simple ‘yes’ can be, believing in the initiative and leadership of young people; while we have always known youth are the leaders of today, we gained a renewed understanding of how saying ‘yes, and’ empowers youth and enables their capability so that they can turn their ideas into a reality.

Through Scouts Canada’s Kids Yes Day public relations campaign, we inspired families in Canada with the resources and support to uplift their children’s ideas and put plans into fun action. This, alongside the persistent network of highly engaged Scouters across the country, sparked a surge of exciting ‘yes’ milestones. A series of Proud Scouter Moments circulated on Social Media to celebrate the magic of centring youth and starting with ‘YES!.’
